Barking Abbey Boys - September - October 2023

Barking Abbey boys football academy have had a strong start to the season after a intense and enjoyable preseason by being undefeated in 13 games with 12 wins and a draw throughout all competitions, all players have stepped up to the high standard demanded of them when asked and there have been some good team and individual performances. 

The FA Youth Cup has been a real highlight so far as the boys sailed through 4 qualifying rounds to secure their place in the 1st Round Proper which is a tie away to Kingstonian FC. During this cup run they have scored 18 goals and conceded 2. 

Barking Whites (partnership club Barking FC) in the National Alliance League have started strong and accumulated 3 wins and 1 draw from their first 4 league games in which they are aiming to retain the league title.

Barking Abbey Boys Reserves have started exceptionally well with 4 wins from 4. Only the 26 goals scored from the boys in these 4 games which have been some brilliant team goals and individual ones too.

It’s been great watching them evolve into two very strong squads, if we carry on producing the levels of football, we have delivered this half term, into the rest of the season, we are going to be very hard to stop!
