Barking Abbey Girls - September - October 2023

Abbey U21’s Women have started the season strongly and are unbeaten so far with 5 wins and 2 draws in all competitions, scoring 22 goals and conceding 5. Currently sitting 2nd in the league and sit top of their group, having already qualified to the knockout stages of the cup, Abbey are looking forward to a busy period leading up to Christmas.

Coach Mike Lowne had this to say on the team’s good start to the season, ‘The girls have started the season well and I am looking forward to seeing them improve as we go on. There is a great team spirit, they are a competitive group that work hard to improve and have good personalities. We have a busy period coming up with some important games, I am looking forward to some more exciting performances and some good results.’
