National 9v9 Football Tournament
16 Jan 2020St. Georges Park, the home of football, was the stage that was set for the Barking Abbey girls academy football team to take part in a National 9v9 Football Tournament, organised by National Football Youth League and included 14 teams from across the country. For our qualifying matches, we were placed in to a difficult fixture group, but the girls showed their quality and winning edge easing through to the semi-finals with wins over This Girl Kicks, Durham & Sunderland. In the semi-finals we were met with local opposition EDSV college & some of the best football was on display from our players.

Four Graduates of the Barking Abbey Football Academy are proud to announce that they have continued to develop their student-athlete careers with long term scholarships in the United States of America. Joe Bowles transferred to Akron University (junior). NCAA DiV1 Sofian Maghouz to Carson-Newman University (Freshman). NCAA Div 2 Peter Oyetunji to West Alabama University.
