NPQ in Headship (NPQH)

Who is it for?

Aspiring or current headteachers and heads of school who have, or are preparing to take on, responsibility for leading an entire school.

Programme overview

Duration: 18 months, followed by an assessment period

Extension: New headteachers may extend the programme by up to six months

Delivery: Blended learning: online modules, online seminars and in-person conferences

Funding: Limited fully funded places are available, subject to eligibility and availability

Self-funded fee: £1,885 plus VAT, where a funded place is not available

Additional support for new headteachers

Eligible new headteachers may also be able to access additional coaching alongside the NPQH. Availability and eligibility should be confirmed during the application process.
